We are pleased to report the Hanjin Baltimore has finally started its transit from Panama to the US. The Baltimore which has been detained in Panama since September 5th, currently operates in the AWH service.

Operations Update of Hanjin Switzerland v.0003W on AW8 Service Lane
Dear Valued Customer,
Please be informed that Hanjin Switzerland v.0003W will call and discharge cargoes at Global
Terminals & Container Services(GCT). Upon discharge at GCT, barge service will then transport
the cargoes to Maher Terminal as originally intended where you will be able to pick up your
cargo. Due to the high volume of cargo affected by this operation, in tandem with the inability
to prioritize barge service, you may experience some delay in receiving your cargo at Maher.

Hurricane Matthew Port Update

Hurricane Matthew Monday – 10/10/16 update
Savannah:  CLOSED with no vessel activity

Inland update
No export rail receiving from inland origin ramps at this time.
Many truckers without power and capacity is severely restricted.

Miami: Open
Trucking operating as normal.

Port Everglades: Open
Trucking operating as normal.

Jacksonville: Open, no phones thus slow operations
No export rail receiving from inland origin ramps at this time.
Many truckers without power and capacity severely restricted.

Charleston: Open
Export rail being accepted at all inland origin ramps at this time.
Many truckers without power and capacity is severely restricted.

Norfolk: Open
Inland rail routes blocked due to down trees and flooding.
Export rail containers being accepted at all inland origin ramps.

Baltimore: Open
Trucking operating as normal.

Truck Operations:

Hinterland areas of Eastern Carolinas and Virginia are most severely restricted for truck capacity due to flooding and down trees.

These areas will be several days to a week before normal inland operations are achieved.

Hyundai Merchant Marine Announces New Transpacific Liner Service
Dear Valued HMM Customer,
In response to the changing market situation on the Transpacific trade and to help meet our customer demands, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is pleased to announce the official launch of our new Asia – U.S. West Coast service known respectively as the HNS (Hyundai New Start) in October.
Hyundai Merchant Marine’s new HNS service will initially offer coverage from China (Shanghai) and South Korea (Gwangyang and Pusan) to Los Angeles, California. HNS weekly deployment will include five HMM vessels of which are 3×3,800, 1×6,000 and 1×4,500 twenty foot equivalent (TEU) vessels of loadable space. HNS service will provide HMM’s customers with a more desirable product including the industry’s fastest transit time of 9 days from Pusan to Los Angeles and a greater port coverage while still maintaining network stability.

Re: Hurricane Matthew Update

To: All Georgia Ports Authority Customers

Due to mandatory evacuation in Garden City, Garden City Terminal gates will close at 1500 for inbound traffic and FULL SHUT DOWN AT1600

The Georgia Ports Authority continues preparations for heavy rains and sustained storm force winds.

Please be advised, Port of Brunswick terminals are closed to all work activities until Monday, 10/10/2016.

Port of Savannah terminals will be closed to truck traffic on Friday, 10/7/2016, and Saturday, 10/8/2016, at Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal.

The U.S. Coast Guard will restrict vessel arrival and departure transits this evening, 10/6/2016.

Vessel activity is expected to resume at 1300 Sunday, 10/9/2016. (Please be advised, this is an estimate only, subject to change due to storm conditions.)

GPA may resume normal operations on Monday, 10/10/2016, if conditions allow. Garden City Terminal will resume container truck gate operations 0600 Monday, 10/10/2016, through all interchange gates, if conditions allow.

The port is monitoring developments to ensure safety of personnel, equipment and cargo.
