On November 5, the U.S. House of Representatives approved long-term highway funding legislation without a FASA/Gemini-supported amendment that would have required ports to report key metrics on their operations. The collection of basic uniform data on port performance is critical to address ongoing congestion issues that impact FASA/Gemini members and the national economy. FASA/Gemini and others will push for adoption of the amendment during a House-Senate conference on the highway bill.
