The Vermont General Assembly’s Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules (LCAR) approved the Vermont Department of Health’s Chemicals of High Concern in Children’s Product Rule on November 19. Under the law, starting July 1, 2016, companies selling children’s products in Vermont — including children’s fashion accessories — must report to the State of Vermont if those products contain certain “chemicals of high concern to children.”
