We are pleased to report the Hanjin Switzerland has cleared the Suez Canal on its way to New York.
ETA New York is now October 18th.

We are happy to report the Hanjin Jungil is now docked at TTI Terminal in Long Beach and per the PMA has 5 gangs assigned to work on today’s first shift.

Today Hanjin shipping goes back to court in Newark NJ at 11 am est. We expect their lawyers to clarify their ongoing efforts to unload the remainder of their cargo and to update the judge on their financial position. Ahead of the proceeding Hanjin filed a detailed document updating the court on the status of operation and their financials. A copy of the document can be found here. it contains a wealth of updates on Hanjin’s funding, payments made to terminals, payments and bill of landing rating issues and a fleet update. We expect this will be reviewed in detail in today and Gemini Shippers Group will be on hand to learn more and update our members as things unfold.
This morning the Hanjin Miami docked at the Port of New York’s Maher terminal, the first ship to do so since Hanjin’s filing for receivership.
